The Routan is Volkswagen’s all-new 7-passenger front-engine, front-wheel drive minivan. Based on the same platform as the Chrysler Town & Country and the Dodge Grand Caravan, the Routan will be built in the same plant in Windsor, Ontario Canada. Nearly as iconic as the Volkswagen Beetle, the Volkswagen Microbus and the subsequent Vanagon offered families and others with needs for a spacious vehicle a unique option in the market. While the Microbus and the Vanagon appealed to a small group of buyers, Volkswagen partnered with Chrysler to enter the mainstream of the family vehicle market with the Routan. The front grille and exterior design identify the Routan as a Volkswagen and the interior styling and materials have been carefully chosen to deliver what the German brand describes as European sensibilities in design, fit and finish. All-season traction control and an Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) are standard, and Volkswagen promises European-tuned suspension with the steering optimized for handling and driving dynamics. Tailored specifically for the U.S. market, Routan offers high-demand features such as triple-zone climate control, first- and second-row heated seats, and iPod and USB connectivity.

The 2009 Volkswagen Routan is Volkswagen’s first mainstream minivan, built in partnership with Chrysler and powered by the same engines as the Chrysler Town & Country. The standard engine is a 3.8-liter V6 that produces 197 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission that is rated at 16/23 mpg city/hwy. The available 253-horsepower 4.0-liter V6 engine produces 262 lb-ft of torque and delivers 17/25 mpg city/hwy with the 6-speed automatic. Routan features front and side curtain airbags, Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP), available touch-screen navigation with 30 GB JoyBox Multi-Media Entertainment system, available heated front and second-row captain’s chairs, remote keyless entry with available remote start and power-fold third row seat.

The Crossfire is Chrysler’s two-seat sports coupe and roadster that is produced in Germany in conjunction with longtime DaimlerChrysler partner Karmann. The Crossfire is one of the vehicle that has earned the Chrysler Group a reputation for taking concept cars and turning them into production vehicles with very little of the original concept lost in the process
Occupants sit low in the car, which has a bright, upscale, retro-style sporty interior. The bucket seats are very supportive, gauges can be quickly read and controls work precisely. The cockpit is roomy despite an oversized center console that holds an awkwardly designed cupholder. Curiously, it's the only cupholder in the car.

Scion xD

The xD is Scion’s subcompact hatchback that debuted at the 2007 Chicago Auto Show and replaced the xA in the Scion lineup for 2008. Sharing the same platform with the Toyota Yaris, the xD is a five-door hatchback just like the xA but offers a more aggressive look and more power. The xD has nearly the same length and height as the xA but it is about an inch wider and 3.6-inch longer wheelbase. Highlighted by a wide stance, thick muscular body, accentuated wheel flares and large tires, the xD has a short and wide frame that is designed to give it better handling and comfort.

Toyota Sienna

The Sienna is Toyota’s popular minivan which replaced the innovative, but slow-selling Previa as a 1998 model. The first-generation Sienna was based on the Camry platform, and was in fact built on the very same assembly line in Georgetown, Kentucky. The current second-generation Sienna was unveiled at the 2003 North American International Auto Show and went on sale in April, 2003.
The 2009 Toyota Sienna continues primarily unchanged with a few minor updates including a new overhead console, revised head restraint shape, 17-inch alloy wheels available for LE and two new exterior colors: Super White and Blizzard Pearl. The updated LE Premium package includes a 360-watt JBL Synthesis AM/FM/CD audio system with 6-disc changer and 6-speakers, Bluetooth connectivity and rear-seat entertainment system.

The Sienna's seats now feel more upscale, with some decent cushioning and good support. Toyota officials insist that they spent more money on the new seats, just because they are so important for comfort.

Talk about a Millennium Falcon moment!
And this sleek beauty can turn the quarter mile in around 10 seconds at 130 MPH.
The top speed is a very respectable 230 MPH.
It does all this with a EPA rating (Don't laugh) of 12 mpg in the city, and 18 mpg on the highway.
Hey it's a V-12 after all.

BENTLEY AZURE CONVERTIBLE SALES VIDEO FROM BRUMOS MOTORCARS

Car BENTLEY AZURE CONVERTIBLE SALES VIDEO

Volkswagen GTI

The latest Volkswagen GTI was introduced midway through the 2006 model year. The platform on which it's based is representative of the fifth-generation Golf, which has been renamed the Rabbit for the U.S. market. Highlighted improvements for this generation include a stiffer body structure, a fully independent suspension and new features such as xenon headlights and an available navigation system. The GTI is available in two-door and four-door hatchback body styles.

VW makes many modifications to the GTI to improve its performance and distinctiveness compared to other Rabbit models. For power, it has a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine called the 2.0T that's capable of 200 hp. A six-speed manual transmission is standard and sends power to the front wheels. A sequentially shifting six-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) transmission is optional.

In Volkswagen GTI reviews, this hatchback has earned favorable commentary for its powerful and flexible engine, comfortable seating, upscale interior design and everyday versatility. Downsides include handling abilities that aren't quite as sharp as some competitors' and a price that elevates quickly when options are added.

Consumers interested in used GTI models will have plenty of choices. The current model arrived for 2006 as a two-door hatchback only, while the four-door arrived the following year. Minor equipment changes have occurred since then. Otherwise, most used-car lots will feature the fourth-generation GTI produced for the 1999-2006 model years. Buyers should be aware that VW frequently overlaps its generational models for the GTI -- for example, both the fourth- and fifth-gen GTIs were sold for the 2006 model year.

The fourth-generation VW GTI debuted in two trim levels -- GLS and GLX. The GLS has a 115-hp 2.0-liter engine and could be had with either a manual or automatic transmission. The GLX came with a 174-hp, 2.8-liter six-cylinder "VR6" and a manual transmission only. The following year, VW replaced the 2.0-liter engine in the GLS with a much more sporting 1.8-liter engine called the 1.8T. Turbocharged, this one produced 150 hp.

In general, this GTI was less sporting than other competing models of its time. This was especially true in terms of reflexes and handling, as the car had a relatively unsophisticated suspension and a somewhat hefty curb weight. It did counter with a high-quality interior and enhanced versatility, however.

For shoppers, GTIs for model years 2002 and newer would be preferable as they had more standard equipment and more power (180 hp for the 1.8T and 200 hp for the VR6). VW also offered a few special models for this generation -- the 2002 GTI 337, the similar 20th-anniversary 2003 GTI, and the rare GTI R32 that had all-wheel-drive and a 240-hp 3.2-liter V6.

The third-gen Volkswagen GTI was available from 1994-'99. For the most part, this model is not as desirable as other generations due to its selection of engines. Though again a two-door hatchback based on the Golf, it debuted with the uninspiring 2.0-liter engine only. Only in 1995 did the VR6 engine (172 hp) finally enter production alongside the 2.0-liter.

The Jaguar XJ

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

A Jaguar near and dear to my heart, because we have a 1988 XJ6.
The Jaguar XJ was more of a luxury touring car, not the land rockets some Jags were.
They came with the six cylinder and V-12.
But that's not to say the model had no high performance engines.
In 1994 they had a 6.0 L Jaguar V12 engine rated at 318bhp.
In 1995 there was a 326 bhp supercharged version of the straight-6 offered and badged as the XJR.
The X308 Mk II had a 4.0 litre supercharged option that delivered 370 bhp and also a 4.0 that provided 400 bhp.

Saab 9-X Air

The Saab 9-X concept car was developed by Saab in 2001 and first shown on the Frankfurt Auto Show. The 9-X was designed to combine the qualities of a coupe, roadster, station wagon and pickup truck in the same car. The design was created by a team of ten designers at the Saab Advanced Styling Centre headed by Anthony Lo.

The car used a four wheel drive system along with an all-aluminum, 300 hp 3.0 L turbocharged V6, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and 19 in tires. It featured fiber optic headlights and a completely keyless ignition system.

The Saab 9-X Biohybrid concept car was developed by Saab in 2008 and first shown on the Geneva Motor Show. It is based ont he GM Delta platform and is thought to give an idea of the upcoming Saab 9-1X.

It has key less entry and small cameras instead of rear view mirrors. On the roof there is a solar panel, like the Saab EV-1, for charging the battery, both when driving and when parked. The headlight is automatic. A front mounted camera detects if you meet another car.

The front of the car follows the design of the Saab Aero-X while the rear has the same cut-off look as Saab 9-X. It is powered by a slant-4 engine of 1.4 liters giving 200 hp (150 kW) at 5000 rpm and 280 N·m (210 ft·lbf) at 1750-5000 rpm. The engine is connected to a manual six speed gearbox with automatic clutch. 0-100 km/h is done in 7.9 seconds and it has a top speed of 216 km/h (134 mph). It has four seats although the headroom in the rear is somewhat restricted. As the name suggests it runs both regular gasoline and E85. The fuel consumption (running on E85) is 6.41 litres per 100 kilometres (44.1 mpg imp/36.7 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions are 105 g/km.

If you drive faster than 70 km/h (43 mph) the rear spoiler is extended and an underbody diffuser is deployed from the bottom of the rear bumper. When braking in speeds above 100 km/h (62 mph) the spoiler acts like an air brake and also is used to increase the downforce of the car

Toyota iQ

Toyota is out to get Smart with a clever new microcar. Though designed for Europe and Japan, the iQ could come stateside to help us cope with soaring fuel prices and growing urban congestion. What We Know About the 2010 Toyota iQ

As if to answer critics of its big, thirsty, and environmentally hostile trucks, Toyota is launching a thrifty Earth-friendly microcar called iQ. The petite two-door hatchback bowed as a concept at the autumn 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany and was shown in production trim at the March 2008 Geneva Auto Salon in Switzerland. Billed as an “intelligent solution to urban transport,” the iQ was designed at Toyota’s ED2 studio in southern France, but will be built in Japan starting late this year. Toyota hopes to sell 100,000 in 2009. Europe and Japan are the intended markets, but the iQ is being whispered for U.S. sale as a 2010 model. If it comes here, it would be our market’s first direct alternative to the Smart ForTwo from Mercedes-Benz parent Daimler AG, a car generating much interest amid soaring fuel prices and a worsening economy.

Toyota says the iQ represents a “major milestone” in its vehicle development thinking, as engineers worked from the inside out to maximize room within this very small package. The company points to several space-saving innovations, starting with a smaller front differential that allows optimal powertrain positioning in concert with a new “center-point” steering gear. A compact flat fuel tank tucks safely beneath the rear floor. The heating/air conditioning components were also redesigned to be less intrusive without compromising function. That, in turn, allowed using a slim-line dashboard/center console that sweeps away so front occupants can sit further forward without being cramped. Doing so leaves room behind for an average adult on the passenger side and for the child-size “jump” seat on the driver’s side. Special slim-line front seatbacks and heavy use of electronic components also conserve space in the “3+1” cabin.

Toyota has yet to disclose full specifications, but says the iQ will initially offer a choice of two gasoline engines, likely a 3- and 4-cylinder, and a small diesel. A gas/electric option a la Toyota’s Prius hybrid is expected around 2010 or ’11. For the U.S., however, a 2010 Toyota iQ would likely use the 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gas engine that powers Toyota’s larger Yaris subcompact, if only because the two models have similar-size engine bays. Transmission? We’d look for a Smart-like 5-speed automated manual to maximize fuel economy and to please mostly shift-averse Americans.Standard and optional equipment are still unconfirmed too, but the 2010 Toyota iQ should also follow the Smart in having standard side airbags, ABS, traction control, and maybe even an antiskid system. Like Daimler, Toyota sees its urban car not as a spartan price-leader but as a sophisticated, well-equipped vehicle for socially conscious trend setters. The iQ concept suggested this by sporting upscale features such as an audio/navigation system with heads-up display and steering-wheel controls, plus a large glass sunroof. We see both items as candidates for the showroom. Ditto 16- and 17-inch wheels, as well as jazzy trim options
